Dan and I knew each other through "the band scene" at Seaholm, but it was later, college and after, that we became good friends and remained so till we lost Dan.

Dan went to OCC, then Mich. State for his bachelors.  From there he went to William and Mary for a law degree.  He practiced breifly before becoming a procecuter in Virginia.  

Dan ended up in North Ft. Myers Fl living with his Mom.  In those days, he was the "comentator" for Compuserve's geyhound adoption forum.  

Dan's ride through life had a few bumps and many highs .. his break up with wife Karen Ott was pretty rugged, but a surprise but profound reconciliation with an early love near the end was, I suppose, recompence of some kind.  .  

Dan was at home with his Mom when he suffered a seizure from which he did not recover.  At a guess, that was ten years ago, maybe more.  

Dan was probably a genius,  He could remeber anything, he had a lighning quick if usually rather ironic wit, his writing was creative and entertaining in the exteme.  

Dan was a good friend for many years.  His loss came as a real shock to me.

Dan must have died between our 25th and 35th reunions. I remember him as being extremely intelligent and focused, but very kind.
