Tom Blodgett

So sorry to hear that Tom passed away.  He and I ran the three legged race together in field day.  How we got thrown together doing that has been lost over the years.  I was looking forward to perhaps seeing him and see if he could answer that question.  RIP

Really sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He had, without a doubt the coolest car at Seaholm: A yellow Pontiac GTO with a Hurst 4 on floor and glass packs as I recall. I was looking forward to swapping gearhead stories with him and learning where his love of horsepower took him since high school. What impressed me most about Tom's character, was not that he had a car that just about any teen age boy in the Detriot suburbs of the '60's would kill for, but that he retained a quiet modesty despite having such a status symbol. I always admired him for that.

I remember Tommy was the best artist in our class at Quarton. When we went to Midvale Tommy was the fastest runner and won the 'Midvale Olympics.' At Barnum Tommy was one of our football kick off returners,,,he was super fast!

Tom ALWAYS had a smile,,,super kind person,,, and a real WINNER.
